Equipe Rapide SCC Challenge Cup #9 & #10 - Mineral Wells Airport, Mineral Wells, TX. November 8 & 9, 2008 Fun 2 days! Wide open courses and incredible November weather made for great racing. Several of the classes went down to the last 2 events before they were decided. Congrats to all the class winners, except my co-driver, Boooo! J/K : ) Make sure to stop by the ER website and look at all the result for the events and the year end points. Saturday was a bit tough as the Roadster had a few different issues, one of which turned out to be fatal on Sunday. Had to fill and bleed the clutch slave cylinder to start the day. Lost the supercharger belt and tensioner bracket broke on the 1st run of the day (Andy's Event Master). Had overheating issues all day that was diagnosed as probably a head gasket. Andy took the car home on Saturday and fixed the belt and bracket and he filled the clutch slave cylinder on Sunday. But unfortunately, the motor went south on Andy's first run on Sunday. There was oil/water mixed together everywhere. So, we put the slicks on my 'Stang and ran it. Even with all the issues had a good time. Hope to see everyone at the ER Xmas & Awards Party at the Elks Lodge in Grapevine on December 6. Cost for dinner at this party will be $10 in advance to Ginette, or $15 at the door.
