Well, that was a very cold, wet, windy and gloomy day. Course was fun, though very slick. Things got off to a bit of a late start, but the rain pretty much stopped before the runs began. Times came down dramatically during the 1st heat. It was fun watching folks adjusting to the drying conditions. I ran in the 2nd heat and had a good time in the 'Stang. I wasn't getting much grip with the cold street tires, but did pretty good and only got a few cones. That, and I made screeching tires sounds all the way around the course, heh. There were fewer than normal number of folks, so the day went pretty quick and we were done early. The SCCA Solo National Tour is the next event at the Bus Lot at Texas Motor Speedway. Details for the event are here. Hope to see all the locals out to "represent the Texas Region!" The weather is supposed to be good for the weekend! There are 288 pics, some from both heats. I think I got most of the folks that were running. It was pretty tough standing out in the cold in both heats. Some of the pics came out pretty good, which is pretty amazing considering the conditions, especially the lack of good light and my shivering from the cold. I really, really hate the cold!
